Maturità Score Calculator - Credits, Written Tests, Oral and Final Mark out of 100
Calculate your maturità mark
Credit bands from your grade averages
Final mark = school credit (max 40) + first written (max 20) + second written (max 20) + oral (max 20) + bonus (max 5, only with at least 30 credits and 50 test points), capped at 100; 60 passes. Credit bands follow the table of Legislative Decree 62/2017.
How the maturità mark is calculated
The esame di Stato ends with a mark out of 100 built from four parts. Up to 40 points are school credit earned over the last three years from the grade averages, 12 at most in the third year, 13 in the fourth and 15 in the fifth. The two written tests and the oral are each marked out of 20, so 60 points at most. A commission bonus of up to 5 points can be added only to candidates with at least 30 credits and at least 50 points in the tests. Sixty points pass; a candidate with full credits and full marks in every test can receive the lode by unanimous decision.
Steps
- 1 Enter your school credit, or open the credit panel and type your three yearly averages to see the band for each year.
- 2 Enter the marks of the two written tests and the oral, and the bonus you expect; the total and the final mark update at once.
- 3 Read whether you pass, whether the bonus can be applied and whether the lode is possible.
School credit
Each year the class council assigns credits inside a band set by the grade average: in the fifth year an average above 9 gives 14 or 15, between 8 and 9 gives 13 or 14, between 6 and 7 gives 10 or 11. The third and fourth years have lower bands, with maxima of 12 and 13. Attendance, participation and conduct decide the position inside the band, and the three years together give at most 40.
The tests and the oral
The first written test is Italian for everyone, the second is the subject of the track chosen each year by the ministry, and the oral covers the whole programme including civic education and the student's experiences in school-work pathways. Each is marked by the commission out of 20 against national grids, and the three together give at most 60.
Bonus and lode
The commission may add up to 5 points, but only for candidates who arrive with at least 30 credits and score at least 50 in the three tests, and the final mark cannot exceed 100. The lode is reserved to candidates who reach 100 without the bonus, with the maximum credit and the maximum in every test, and only if the commission is unanimous.
Limits of this calculator
The tool applies the national rules and the credit table of Legislative Decree 62/2017. The position inside a credit band, the marking of the tests and the bonus are decisions of the class council and the commission; the official certificate is the authoritative result.
