Privacy Policy

What this policy covers

This policy explains what happens to your data when you use 2on and its language subdomains. It applies to every page on this site.

2on is a collection of free browser tools. There are no accounts, no sign-up and no login, so we never build a profile about you.

In short

  • We do not sell your data and do not share it with anyone for advertising.
  • We build no advertising profiles and run no ad network.
  • Most tools work entirely inside your browser and send nothing to a server.
  • Files converted on the server are deleted within one hour.
  • The only information you actively give us is what you type into the contact form.

When you use the tools

Calculators, text tools and the randomizers run inside your browser. What you type stays on your device and is never transmitted to us.

Some conversions cannot run in a browser and are performed on our server: PDF to Word, Word to PDF, and HEIC image conversion. In those cases your file is uploaded, converted, handed back to you as a download and then deleted. It is never opened by a person and its contents are never used for anything else.

The randomizer tools keep the lists you enter in your browser's local storage so they survive a page reload. That data never leaves your device, and the tool's own Clear list button erases it.

The contact form

When you write to us we receive the name, e-mail address, subject and message you typed, plus the language of the page and the IP address the message came from. The IP address is recorded to block automated abuse of the form.

We use this only to read and answer your message. It is not added to any mailing list and is not passed on to anyone.

Legal basis: your consent in choosing to write to us, together with our legitimate interest in keeping the form usable - Article 6(1)(a) and (f) GDPR, and the corresponding grounds in Article 5 of the Turkish KVKK.

Usage statistics and security

We count how often each page is opened so we know which tools are worth improving. These counters hold only the page address and a number. They contain no IP address, no identifier and nothing that could single out a visitor, so they cannot be traced back to you.

The endpoints that do work on the server also keep a short-lived counter per IP address, so that one visitor cannot overwhelm them. Those rows are deleted automatically after 24 hours.

Cookies and local storage

2on sets one session cookie that carries a security token for forms, keeps your tool lists in local storage, and currently uses Google Analytics to measure traffic.

Each item is listed separately, with its purpose and lifetime, in the Cookie Policy.

Third parties and transfers abroad

Two services take part in delivering this site:

  • Google Analytics receives page views together with your IP address and device information.
  • Cloudflare sits in front of the site as a proxy and content delivery network, so every request passes through it.

Nothing else comes from a third party. The site downloads no web fonts - the text you are reading uses a font your own device already has - and every style, script, icon and image is served from this site. There are no social media widgets, comment systems or advertising scripts on any page.

These two providers run servers outside your country, so using the site involves an international transfer of data.

How long data is kept

The periods below are the ones the site actually enforces in code, not intentions.

Data Kept for
Files uploaded for conversion 1 hour, then deleted automatically
Security counters (IP address) 24 hours
Contact form messages As long as answering requires, and erased whenever you ask
Page counters Indefinitely - they hold no personal data

Your rights

You can ask what data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to its use, and receive a copy of it. Where processing rests on consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time.

In Turkey these are the rights in Article 11 of the KVKK, and you may also complain to the Personal Data Protection Authority. In the EU, the EEA and the United Kingdom these are the rights in Articles 15 to 22 of the GDPR, and you may complain to your national supervisory authority.

In practice we hold very little: unless you have written to us through the contact form, there is normally nothing stored that identifies you.

Children and changes to this policy

The tools are not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from them. Because there are no accounts, we have no way of determining a visitor's age.

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. Substantial changes will be described here rather than made quietly.
